Description

Museum quality 1956 Canadian Chipmunk restored in 2010 to like new condition. Of (217) Canadian Chipmunks built by DeHavilland, this one was the 14th from last built. It appears it was a base commanders hack due to low times. Have all log books and Manuals from new. Displayed at R.R. Heritage event at Reno in 2011 and numerous Air Shows and Fly-Ins, always winning Best in Class trophy.

Avionics / Equipment

King KY96, KY76, ACK intercom,Artex 406 ELT

Airframe

1956 Canadian Chipmunk recently restored to Museum Quality in RCAF 18065 livery, stripped & painted, recovered in Stits Polyfiber, new windshield and canopy, fuel cells, Cleveland brakes, tires, slick mags., Annual April 2017 with all bulletins and AD's complied with. Fourteenth from last Chipmunk built, very low time.

Interior / Exterior

Paint work is perfect, but lets call it a 9 out of 10. Upholstery is all new in 17 including the stick boots of leather and seats in leather and fabric color dark British racing green. General overall appearance is museum quality and has always been in a hanger.

Remarks

This Chipmunk has been restored to its exact original configuration externally and the interior cockpits have the original radio boxes, P-11 compasses, fire axes, fire extinguishers, and first aid kit. Modern radios mounted out of sight on top of original ones. All restoration work was accomplished in Canada by a Professional Restorer. Some spare airframe parts that are negotiable.
