Description
Airframe - Restored to original Boeing specifications by Bill Bohannan and Lew Parsley of Bohannan Aviation Services. Only 160 hours on airframe since overhaul all markings and colors are authentic. Wood wings and center section rebuilt to original. No rust or corrosion, all tubes rolled and oiled with hot linseed oil. After damage the aircraft was transported to Ohio for complete teardown and rebuild. Frame up restoration completed in 2015. Top and bottom wings inspected and repaired as needed, airframe installed and covered with Air Tech System using AN Orange Yellow Polyurethane paint. All parts and hardware needing replacement are new, down to the 200+ slotted screws. Engine Continental W-670-N overhauled to new limits by Bohannan Aviation Service. Only 160 hours on engine since major overhaul. All steel cylinders and all internal parts were thoroughly inspected and magna fluxed. Front and Rear Main bearings replaced with Timken Roller Bearings. Original ignition harness replaced with shielded harness from Skytronics, Stromberg Bendix NAR-6G carburetor rebuilt to new tolerances by Air Repair. Bendix SF7RB-1 magnetos cleaned, tested and timed to original specs. All fits and clearances to NEW Limits as stated in the Continental Engine Overhaul Manual. Cold specs 74-78-74-74-76-74-74/80. Propeller Brand new MT Propeller made of solid German Ash wood. Titanium leading edge with a 68-inch pitch provides for a 10 mph increase in cruise speed. No more prop AD issues.
