Description

This 1946 Cessna 140 is economical to operate (4gph fuel burn) and a joy to fly. It has an 85hp Continental C-85 engine with approximately 130 hours since major overhaul and a new Marvel-Schebler carburetor. The last annual inspection was done in September 2016. There are about 3300hrs on the airframe and the Ceconite wings were last covered in the late 1980s. The airplane has been hangared and well cared for. In 2014 some corrosion was found in the horizontal stabilizer and it was rebuilt. Airframe and engine logs go back to the 1960s. A Bruce's Custom Cover is also included. Avionics have been kept to a minimum to preserve the original look of the panel (it only has a comm radio with built-in intercom, no transponder).
